6ft From The Spotlight can offer a course bespoke for crew which teaches Mental Wellbeing awareness and how to spot and signpost the early  signs of mental illness

We are also accredited to train i-act Managing and Promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing. This is a CPD accredited course run over 6 hours.

Courses are run at cost for crew and for companies a modest fee is charged to cover the cost of the crew training.

Course Objectives:

— Give crew members a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing issues and help them recognise when colleagues may need further help and support.

— Provide practical tools for promoting positive wellbeing on set to help build resilience for ourselves and for colleagues.

— Offer guidance and advice for how crew can connect with colleagues who may be experiencing a mental health or wellbeing issue.

— Equip crew with practical tools, a resource pack and signposting to further help and support concerning mental health and wellbeing issues.

The research both looked at the most prevalent issues in the industry and proposes actions to improve mental health and wellbeing for the workforce. Anyone working behind the cameras in the UK film, TV and cinema industry can use the charity’s free, confidential Support Line, 24 hours a day.
